Pitchroom ApS ("Pitchroom", "we", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal data when you use our B2B fundraising Platform.
Our Role in Data Processing
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we have two distinct roles:
Data Controller
We are the Controller of the data you provide to create and manage your Pitchroom account.
Data Processor
We act as a Processor for the data you upload to the Platform regarding third parties (e.g., investor contact lists, tracking who views your pitch decks). You are the Controller of this data.
Data We Collect as a Controller
We collect the following information to provide and maintain your account:
- Identity & Contact Data: Name, business email address, company name, and phone number.
- Financial Data: Billing details. (Note: Credit card transactions are processed securely by Stripe; Pitchroom does not store full credit card numbers).
- Technical & Usage Data: IP address, browser type, login data, and information on how you navigate our website.
How We Use Your Data
We use your personal data to:
- Register you as a new user or partner.
- Process your subscription payments via bank transfer or Stripe.
- Provide customer support and notify you of Platform updates.
- Analyze usage to improve our Platform's functionality.
Legal Basis for Processing
Our legal bases for processing your data as a Controller include:
- Performance of a Contract: To deliver the services outlined in our Terms and Conditions.
- Legitimate Interests: To improve our services and ensure platform security.
- Legal Obligation: To comply with Danish bookkeeping and tax laws.
Sharing Your Data
We do not sell your personal data. We only share data with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating our Platform (e.g., Stripe for payments, cloud hosting providers). All third parties are bound by strict data processing agreements.
Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, we will delete or anonymize your data, except for data we are legally required to keep (e.g., Danish accounting laws require retaining invoices for 5 years).
Your GDPR Rights
As a data subject, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request the correction of inaccurate data.
- Request the deletion of your data (Right to be Forgotten).
- Object to or restrict the processing of your data.
- Request data portability.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at legal@pitchroom.net.
